Elaraj & Associates, takes pride to represent the less privileged people in personal injury cases.

Elaraj & Associates had its beginnings as a small personal injury law firm over eight years ago. Over the years, Elaraj & Associates has developed a finely tuned practice focusing on such areas as police brutality, wrongful death, slip & fall, and automobile cases. While our commitment to representing injured members of our community remains the same, as we have grown, Elaraj & Associates has been able to expand its reach and offer services to those with immigration and workers' compensation cases.
At Elaraj & Associates, we strive to deliver on the commitment we make to our clients. We understand the difficulties our clients are facing when they seek our services, and make a point of demonstrating to everyone who comes to us for help that their trust and confidence is well placed. Our long list of satisfied clients is a testimonial to this fact. We see ourselves as fully invested in our community and you can rest assured that when you call us, we will remember your name, we will know your case, and you will get honest answers to your questions.
We invite you to stop by our office, share a cup of coffee, and tell us your story. You will be heard, and we will fight to get you what you deserve.
Sharifa takes pride in advocating for the less privileged. "We are here to make our client's life as easy as possible after such a tragedy." An accident can change a life forever and we are attorneys that are concerned and care about our clients' problems.
Sharifa Elaraj graduated from the University of Minnesota in June of 1999, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Speech-Communications.
Sharifa received her Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law in 2002. She was accepted to practice law in the State of Minnesota in September, 2003.
Sharifa is an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association dealing with no-fault cases. She also received her Mediation certificate in 2007 and is in the Roster of the Minnesota Supreme Court for Alternative Dispute Resolution Neutrals.
Her main focus is cases such as auto accidents, premise liability, slip and falls, products liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, workers' compensation and defective devices. Sharifa takes pride in advocating for the underprivileged. "Insurance companies have deep pockets and these companies unfortunately would rather hire their own attorneys than pay for my clients' medical bills to the full extent of the value of their cases. We are here to make our clients' lives as easy as possible after such a tragedy." An accident can change peoples' lives in a heart beat and forever. Thankfully, Elaraj and Associates have attorneys that are concerned and care about their clients in every aspect after these tragedies.

Some of her clients have had a negative impression of attorneys their whole life, Sharifa states. She goes on to say, "I am here to change this negative experience to a positive one. "Good communication with clients can be difficult for attorneys when handling many cases. However, attorneys should make communication with their client a number one priority in their work." Sharifa also believes that keeping clients updated about their case is as important as getting them the compensation that they deserve.
Educating our clients is one of our firm's goals. Sharifa truly believes that a client who knows enough about their rights is more satisfied with the outcome of their case. This is because these clients know what to expect from the beginning. Elaraj and Associates has handled different kinds of cases, from soft tissue injury cases to major surgical cases. Each case is valued differently, depending on the insurance companies' policy to the kind of treatment each client receives, as well as the client's age.
Sharifa Elaraj is an active member of the Minnesota Justice Foundation, Hennepin Bar Association, Hispanic Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association. She is also a member of Who's Who among us.
She has also been an active member of the Latino Advisory Committee for the City of Minneapolis. In this position, she has helped in implementing policies that would help bridge the gap between the needs of the Latino Community and the City of Minneapolis.
